NEW FEATURE!!!
Have you see this girl's blog? It's cute, right? So I had this brilliant idea to take her idea of photographing outfits and use it to show that wearing fair trade clothes could be cute! Since I have this thing about fashion, and I have this daughter that has this thing about crazy outfits, I think we can come up with some pretty decent photos. I completely reject the notion that fair trade has to be hippie and boring, all oatmealy and gray. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! I want to hear/see from you too! So post in the comments section each Wednesday anything you or your kiddos wore or ate/drank that was fair or direct trade over the past week. Let's help each other find cool products and places to purchase ethically. Whether its just a pair of earrings or a whole outfit, I want to know what you've got going on.
Starting TOMORROW!!
I love this. And it's not Wednesday yet but I'm afraid I"ll forget by tomorrow so:
ReplyDelete- We got direct trade coffee (San Fransisco Kcups) and have been drinking it all week.
- My new jeans that I bought with my Christmas money were made with organic cotton AND made in the US which means I *think* something was good about them.
- I ordered Divine Chocolate just cause I wanted some chocolate.
We got our veggies from Greenling this week...I think that counts, right?
ReplyDeleteOK, I have another comment...would you consider making a new tab/page on your site that's a buyer's guide? I saw you're gift guides and they're awesome, but a full page that's quick to get to as a reference would be AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the input, Alisa. Yes, tabs!! My amazing blog designer (Jonathan) is busy working on those right now! And Greenling is awesome! It totally counts - supporting local organic farmers who compensate their employees fairly is exactly what we're talking about here. I'll have to do a post on migrant farmworkers another time...
